It is an absolute pleasure to tell you about the Finkle-Derechin Bat-Mitzvah which my husband Drew and I shot at the Bolger Center in Potomac on March 26th. The event took place in the 'Stained Glass Room'. The room held up to it's name, with beautiful floor to ceiling stained glass windows that colored the room with a pleasing pallet of hues. It made for some terrific shots, that could only be accomplished with the use of stained glass with natural light photography. I had the pleasure of meeting the Finkle-Derechin family at their house in Bethesda about two months before the event. The family posses an energy all their own. They are a kind and loving family, that Drew and I could only hope to emulate in the future. They have three very respectful yet very energetic children who did not stop moving throughout the event. It was easy to see where they got this energy from, as their father Luis did not stop dancing until the last guest left! Ms. Gaby was also moving to the music, as well as entertaining all the wonderful guests who attended the ceremony. The guest of honor this day was Alexandra. She is a beautiful young lady who's hard work had led up to this special day. She has an energy, charm and respect that is not easily found in youngsters these days. She definitely lit up the show (with a little help from her little brother and big sister). The guest list included friends and family from near and far. Several of the guests flew in from out of town including California! All the guests did a great job "smiling for the camera", as well as making way for some "perfect shots" of our special girl! This event was really fun for Drew and I. The Finkle-Derechin Family was a joy to work with, and with any luck will do so again in the future! I wanted to send a special thanks to Ms. Gaby, who took the time to give me some great advice on my contract and release. Thanks again to everyone for making this an event to remember. Mazel tov!!!!

Old EC Fall Festival 2010
My first festival was a success. Besides the bump on the head from the walnut tree and my bloody big toe while running for a bathroom break it was a fun day! My dad saved the day by putting up a tent so no one else got hit by walnuts. My mom even got involved by talking up my services with my prospective clients!. The sun was out in full force and the day was beautiful! The wind took down a few of my items from time to time but we dealt with it. I handed out a good amount of information and look forward to future sessions and future events. It was great meeting people and I got some really nice shoots. Thank you for all who participated and made a purchase today. Thank you to my friends and family that came out and supported me. I'm excited about next years Fall Festival!
I couldn't have done it without my husband's love, support, and help!
Photos form the event to post in a few days.
