Saturday

A family session at home.

Today I had the pleasure of shooting a family session at the home of my client.  It was a beautiful drive to their house and they were great to work with.  They won this package at a middle school charity auction.  They are a close knit family who enjoy time together and playing sports.  We were lucky that the rain decided to stay away and the sun was shinning, it was a little chilly out but, we got some nice shots!

I love the Autumn!

I didn't take this photo (I wish I did) it's from Martha Stewart who I just love!  This represents one of the many things I love about Autumn!  Enjoy!

Monday

The perfect Autumn evening on the farm.

This has been my second time shooting London & Grace.  The last time was in April 2009 and boy have they grown both in height and personalities.  They were such good little models!  They have a very close knit family.  One day I'm going to capture the whole family in a beautiful photograph.

Saturday

Brock

Today, I met Brock a one an half year old that kept me on my toes!  His mom told me he was a mover and she wasn't kidding.  He had me running all over the farm.  With all his energy I was still able to get some really cute and memorable shots of him.  Thanks again Alisca for choosing to work with me when I know you had a great list of photographers to chose from.  I hope you like them.

I'm only posting three photos now since I'm off to Arizona for 10 days and will post more when I return.

Wednesday

Max

I met Max at the Fall Festival on September 25th and his Mom asked me to come to their home and shoot photos of him for his birth announcements.  They have a beautiful house and welcomed me and my creative imagination into their home.  Max was such a good baby.  He never cried and was awake during the whole session, however he wasn't a fan of being on his belly.  Part of her package was custom made birth announcements made by me.  She had three designs to choose from and four finals to pick from.  The winner was:
I colored out some of their information to protect their privacy
and my logo is not on the final print.

Saturday

Old EC Fall Festival 2010

My first festival was a success.  Besides the bump on the head from the walnut tree and my bloody big toe while running for a bathroom break it was a fun day!  My dad saved the day by putting up a tent so no one else got hit by walnuts.  My mom even got involved by talking up my services with my prospective clients!.  The sun was out in full force and the day was beautiful!  The wind took down a few of my items from time to time but we dealt with it.  I handed out a good amount of information and look forward to future sessions and future events.  It was great meeting people and I got some really nice shoots.  Thank you for all who participated and made a purchase today.  Thank you to my friends and family that came out and supported me.  I'm excited about next years Fall Festival!

I couldn't have done it without my husband's love, support, and help!
Photos form the event to post in a few days.

Friday

The Fall Festival set-up

Last night and today have been crazy with getting everything together for an event.  I still have a few more things to do since, you always forget something.  I'm really excited about tomorrow.  The weather should be perfect and I hoping for a good turn out!  This my first time doing something like this and I hope it's a success because I already want to do more.  Here's a preview of some of what you will see tomorrow.  I hope to see you there!  Remember it's rain or shine 12-5pm.

Sunflower Fields

Yesterday evening I did a mini family session in a field of sunflowers and it was beautiful! I have never seen anything like it before. Ron, Jennifer, and Chrissy were great to work with. Native to Texas they found a great location in Maryland for their session.  They were funny, easy going, and a joy to work with.

Mom picked out adorable outfits for Chrissy and she looked so cute. Unfortunately, the balloons I brought for a few of Chrissy's shots didn't last long. They slipped by us and her dad jumped for them and just missed the strings as they floated away... dang it! The worst part was I didn't even get to do the shots I wanted.  After the loss of the balloons I lost Chrissy's smile but, with Mom and Dads help we were able to get some great shots!  Lesson learned... if I bring balloons I must have back up ones to blow up.

I hope to work with them again in the future!

Tuesday

Mini Sessions in the Fall

Two great Fall days. The photos beneath this I shoot as a "Mini Session" for Jill and Seth. I did the second session above since their little boy became really sick during our first session. They originally wanted the photos taken at their home which we did the first time but, I suggested we shoot on my family's farm and that's what we did for the second session and the photos came out great.

Saturday

A Fall Family Session

My sister and some of her kids were visiting me so while they were playing in the leaves I grab my camera to take a few shots. I love the sound of the crunch the fall leaves make when the kids were running over them.
